22 years ago, Shoshana fractured L1 vertebra, and recently had L5-S1 discectomy to clear out her ruptured disc. She’s been practicing yoga for twenty-two years and learned that being aware of the spinal alignment can avoid injury, help find ease, and heal back pain. Shoshana integrates the ‘Spinefulness’ guidelines as taught at the Balance Center (Noelle Perez-Christians of the Aplomb Institute, Paris) to restore and heal vertebral alignment within her yoga practice, advocating that the more movement we do in spinal alignment, the more strength we build. She is incredibly passionate and excited about supporting others in finding freedom from pain, and making yoga accessible to all, especially those healing from injuries.

Yoga for Healthy Backs
This class is designed to specifically support and care for the back in a safe and fun sequence of poses. We will focus on relieving muscle tension, increasing flexibility and strengthening all our supporting muscles. Learn how to align the bones while engaging in exercise to truly build strength instead of creating wear and tear by following the true shape your body is meant to take. Relaxation techniques will be used to help reduce stress and manage pain.
